Son Of A Baker at Miranda is one of those places where the choices are all so tempting it’s difficult to decide.

Even narrowing it down to my department, i.e. doughnuts, there is a mouth-watering range of choices.

Looking good

I went for the Custard Cronut. I’m not sure if that’s the official title. I asked the guy, but I was a bit distracted and didn’t quite hear the right name. I’m calling it a Custard Cronut. And I might add, you don’t get many places that sell Custard Cronuts.

This wonderful gem had 2 fig slices, 3 blueberries and a raspberry on top. The custard was soft and creamy but not runny. I think custard and cronut go perfectly together. And the fruit on top gave it an occasional burst of fruity flavour. Good stuff.

Apart from it looking like a 3-eyed pig, I think it looks very appetising

Loved it, loved it, loved it.

I’ve had a few things from Son Of A Baker now, and this has been my favourite so far.
