Well, it appears the standard of customer service has dropped a few pegs at Donut Papi.
I have always received welcoming, smiling service, but when I went in recently, I wasn’t met with that pleasant manner.
I spotted an interesting doughnut towards the back of the display and asked what it was.
I was told it’s a Christmas Scroll.
I asked what was in it.
I was told orange peel, raisins…
That’s it.
I decided to give it a try, despite the rather vague description.
It was nice, and indeed had the orange peel and raisins. It also had a small amount of spiced apple inside, plus a couple of walnuts on top, and was covered in a vanilla glaze.
As usual, it was lovely and fresh, soft and very tasty.
So I recommend it, just one problem. Donut Papi will be closed from 23 December until the end of January, so I think you might have to wait until next December to get a hold of one.
