I walked around the Auckland CBD without seeing too much in the way of really good doughnuts.
Then I spotted Pandoro Panetteria and I knew my luck had changed.

Pandoro Panetteria is a small chain of bakeries. They cook their goodies at a factory and distribute them to the stores. Interestingly, the sweet that came with my lunch on the flight back home a few days later was also from Pandora Panetteria.

Back to the CBD, and I spotted a few nice things that fall under the category of ‘doughnut’, namely doughnuts, cronuts and scrolls.

The one that stood out most to me was a particular cronut. It had passionfruit curd filling.
After I bought it, I made a beeline for the nearest bench, sat down and gobbled it down. It was delicious.

The icing on top was vanilla and it had a sugary coating. The pastry was crispy and chewy as it should be.
I was rather thrilled with my find.
