Kenilworth Bakery has two outlets – one in the town called Kenilworth and another in Mooloobah called the Kenilworth Coastal Bakery. It was the latter that I visited.

But I also got an Original Glazed Doughnut so I could get a better idea of what their doughnuts are like.
They have built quite a cult following, which is helped by the reputation around their 1kg doughnut at their Kenilworth outlet, but not at Mooloobah.
The Coastal Bakery outlet is set in a touristy area with a handful of shops and eateries. It’s a short walk away from the beach of Mooloobah, but worth the visit if you’re in the area.
The Original Glazed Doughnut was delicious.
I really liked the glazing, which had plenty of flavour.
I also liked the doughnut base, which was deliciously chewey and moorish.
They have lots of doughnuts on sale. Make sure you check their opening hours, because they close before the other stores in the small complex.
