Well, here’s a big development for doughnut lovers…
My Donut Box has just announced that their doughnuts will be available at NSW Caltex service stations, called Calstores, from 13 January 2020.
I’m yet to see the extent of the partnership, but I imagine it’s like Krispy Kreme doughnuts in 7-11s.
Also similar, Balfours doughnuts are available at BP service stations.
I’ll be interested to see how far and wide this goes.

Judging by the Facebook post, and how they want you to email them for locations, it won’t be all stores.
I’ll also be interested to see if the logistics work – for example, can My Donut Box actually produce and deliver fresh doughnuts 7 days a week to the Calstores? That’s a mighty big ask.
Krispy Creme and Balfours has the infrastructure in place. I’m not sure how My Donut Box is placed.
However, they do claim to be ‘Australia’s largest donut manufacturer and wholesale supplier’. So perhaps they do have the capability.
Their website doesn’t mention the partnership. It’s only been announced through social media.
Needless to say, next time I’m in a Caltex servo, I’ll be taking a close look at the doughnuts.
Bear in mind, of course, that Caltex will soon be re-branded as Ampol.
