I went to the Martin Place Markets specifically to try Berliner Bakery’s Passion Fruit Custard and Strawberry Pavlova Doughnut. The name is a mouthful, but what about the flavour?
I wasn’t disappointed. It’s divine.
It had a piece of meringue on top with some strawberry coulis drizzled over it.
The filling was a delicious, not-too-sweet passion fruit custard. This is what made this doughnut extra special. Not too runny and full of flavour, it is a delightfully unique doughnut filling.
The dough is the usual excellent dough that is characteristic of all Berliner Bakery’s doughnuts. It also had a coating of sugar.
If you’re a doughnut lover, do your best to get one of these beauties.
