I need to be upfront on this one. This is not a cinnamon doughnut. The sign says ‘Cinnamon Donut’, but it’s not.

All it takes is to add some cinnamon to the caster sugar and, hey presto, you’re true to your sign. Am I being pedantic?

I went to Waminda Bakery in Campbelltown.

It looks like there are 2 Waminda Bakeries in the general Campbelltown area. I went to the one in Browne Street – a small bakery tucked away in a side street in downtown Campbelltown, far away from the big shopping complexes and just up the road from the main drag of Campbelltown.

Everything there looks fresh and homemade.

The doughnuts are probably there for kids rather than critiquing adults. So the fact that the cinnmon doughnut doesn’t have any cinnamon is probably not a big issue (I guess it’s a first world problem in the first place).

My doughnut was okay without being outstanding. It was a little larger than a cinnamon doughnut you might get from other places. It had a quite a dense texture and was just a little oily.

The service was efficient but not very friendly. It’s probably one of those places where most customers are locals and regulars, so I pretty much got “hurry up and get out of here” service.

Don’t be put off by this review. It’s not a bad place. Just lacks a bit of professional polish.
