Walking around Melbourne, I went past a bakery that sold ‘Bronuts’. The place was called Brioche by Philip.

What’s a Bronut, you may ask? I may ask, as well.

It’s a doughnut that is brioche-inspired.

How a doughnut gets inspired by a brioche, I’m not quite sure.

Perhaps they mean it’s a cross between a doughnut and a brioche. Just like a cronut is a cross between a doughnut and a croissant.

Regardless of the semantics, I had to try one. But so many good ones to choose from. They had some very, very tempting choices.

I decided, as this was my first bronut, to start with the basic. So, I got a Cinnamon Bronut.

And it was brilliant.

I could only describe it as a brioche-inspired doughnut. Now I get what they’re telling me!
