It’s difficult to separate doughnuts and The Simpsons. In fact, many images of illustrated doughnuts seem to be in the same distinctive style as The Simpsons. I love The Simpsons and I love doughnuts, but in DomNuts, I’ve deliberately tried to avoid the cliché of tying them together. On this occasion, it’s obviously unavoidable.

It was drawn to my attention that Tic Tacs had released a (probably) limited edition range branded with The Simpsons. The Tic Tacs website doesn’t say whether they are limited edition or not, but I reckon they are.

Here’s an interesting point from the pack – they are made in Ecuador. They are imported by Ferrero.

3 flavours to choose from

There are three flavours available in two sizes, 98g and 24g. One flavour being Donut with Homer’s face on the packaging. The others are Blueberry (Marge) and Bubblegum (Bart).

A doughnut flavoured mint! Interesting.

With so many Simpsons characters, I wonder why they didn’t release more flavours. Perhaps it would be a challenge to match the character with a flavour.

Each Donut Flavoured Tic Tac has Homer’s image on it.

Wouldn’t a Simpsons collector love that stand

I’m finding it really difficult to describe the flavour of the Donut Tic Tacs. I’ve had a few, and I’m still trying to work out what to write. Here goes…

Firstly, it’s sweet, but not too sugary.

There is a faint cinnamon flavour, which I guess represents the doughnut.

When you reach the centre you get a very slight mint hit.

That’s about it.

I’d only recommend them for the novelty value.

I wonder if they will become collector’s items. Probably only in many years’ time to die-hard Simpsons fans.
