Jamball Mini Doughnut @ Parap Bakery, Darwin
Parap is not far from Darwin CBD – a short drive or a long walk – your choice.
It has a bustling market every Saturday morning. I searched the market stalls for a doughnut, walking around two or three times, but found none.
However…
…one of the biggest stores in Parap is Parap Bakery.
They have doughnuts, and plenty of them.

Among the many nice-looking sweets in the display case when I was there were a few Long Johns.

But just near the cash register were three big dishes filled to the brim with mini doughnuts.

One lot had Nutella filling, another jam, and the last one had no filling.
I liked the way the jam filled ones all had a little blob of jam on top. The Nutella ones had bits of chocolates sitting on a blob of Nutella. These looked the best.
I chose a jamball mini doughnut.

It was a lovely doughnut, coated in cinnamon sugar. It was filled with a very nice thin raspberry jam, probably commercially-made rather than home-made. Nice nonetheless.
It was hard to resist those doughnuts – and I noticed not many people did, some walking out with packs of them.
Good stuff!
