As usual, there is no shortage of doughnuts at the Easter Show this year. You just have to know which ones to get and which to avoid. I’m here to help.

Having walked around the Show several times this year, I have noticed that there are actually fewer places to get doughnuts than previous years. As usual, the organisers are trying to bring in new options to keep things looking different from year to year, so it seems some doughnut places have dropped out.

One place, Adore Coffee, used to sell doughnuts. but not this year. When I tried to get a coffee there, the 3 staff members where too busy chatting to someone than to serve me, so don’t expect great service unless you’re young and beautiful.

Berry Donut Van
The big new addition this year is the Berry Donut Van. If you haven’t heard of them, they are probably the most famous doughnut makers in NSW apart from the obvious ones (Krispy Kreme, Donut King).

They have a van at the Easter Show this year for the first time out in the general area at what is the main entry to the Main Arena (Gate D). While I think their doughnuts are very over-rated, they are one of the best options at this year’s Easter Show.

G-Free Donuts
G-Free is an Easter Show regular doing gluten-free donuts that are pretty good and you can barely tell they aren’t gluten-free. See them in the Home and Lifestyle Pavilion.

Berliner Bakery
Another Easter show regular, Berliner Bakery’s doughnuts are of consistently excellent quality. They are gradually widening their range, and you can choose from about 8 different fillings now. They are in the Home & Lifestyle Pavilion.

Chimnutz
Well, they are sort-of doughnuts. I haven’t tried them, but they look pretty good. I’m sure kids love them. You’ll find them near the Woodchop Arena.

Donut Balls
They have added an outside stand to the one they have had for years in the Woolworths Dome. They are good because they are cooked fresh. Located at the back of the Woodchop Arena.

And here’s the big Donut Puffs stand inside the Woolworths Dome. It’s been there for years.

Ian’s
Here’s one I’ve seen for a few years, but never tried until this year. Don’t bother. Dreadful. Obviously frozen and thawed commercial doughnuts. They are in several locations throughout the Show, but only one has doughnuts, which is inside the Main Arena near the Member’s stand.

Waffle Popz
Here’s another one that is a regular. Donuts are one of the base options. I have never had one, and frankly, I wouldn’t bother. Located at the back of the Woodchop Arena.

Hot Donuts & Coffee Caravan
Here’s a food truck that pops up at lots of venues and is an Easter Show regular. I haven’t had one of their cinnamon donuts this year, but I have had them before. They are okay. There are usually a couple of these caravans at the Show, but this year only one. Located between the Main Arena and the Arts & Crafts Pavilion.

I Love Churros
Another regular that I have never tried because I think they are over-priced. Located at the back of the Fashion & Style Pavilion.

Bean Drinkin’
This one has also been at the Show for a long time. It’s tucked away down near the Horse Pavilion. They have several doughnut options, commercially made, but they look better than many others in the Show.

Dicky’s Donuts
I eagerly tried these about 4 years ago when they first arrived at the Show only to be disappointed in ways you can only imagine. Poor service and lousy donuts – they call them ‘filled’ when obviously they are merely drizzled with jam. You’ll find them in the Kids Carnival area, but seriously…

Carousel Cafe
If you’re desperate for doughnuts with your corn dog, here’s your place. It’s located near the Sheep Pavilion.

San Valentino
Located in the Home & Lifestyle Pavilion, this is more an Italian Cafe than a place that takes itself seriously selling Italian doughnuts. When I asked the girl behind the counter how much they were she wasn’t sure. That’s a big red flag to me, so I didn’t get one.

Wacky Apples
This place advertises 12 mini doughnuts for $10. I tried to see how mini the mini doughnuts were, but there was no reference, so I didn’t get any. I might try again before the Show ends.

Hot Take-Away Food
Okay, we’re getting to the desperation stakes. This stand located in the main carnival area is not somewhere I’d get doughnuts from. But, hey, if you must, go right ahead at your own risk.

So that’s about it for the Show for 2026. The only place I didn’t check was the Cattle Lawn Cafe, which usually sells commercially made doughnuts.

If you saw some doughnuts that I haven’t mentioned, please let me know.
