It’s home to the famous 1kg doughnut and the almost-as-famous coffee donut. Kenilworth Bakery has just opened their third outlet, this time at Bribie Island, which is not too far from Brisbane.

Sister and brother owners, Jenna and Nathan Sanders chose the holiday destination because of its proximity to Brisbane, giving the fanbase there the chance to have Kenilworth Bakery’s goods more often.

The new Bribie Island outlet will include the famous 1kg donuts. Apparently, only 5% of people are able to finish the 1kg donuts. For the record, I have no intention of trying to devour a 1kg donut.

They will also have the coffee donut, which I tried for the first time at their Mooloolaba outlet in 2022.

The bakery has heritage dating back almost 100 years (1924) and now has a cult following through social media.

Kenilworth’s products are made fresh each day and the Bribie Island store hours are Wednesday to Sunday 8am to 3pm. You can also get goodies for your dog there, including a dogaccinno, doggie biscuits and doggie donuts.
