There was a household craving for doughnuts at my place, so a 4-pack of Jam Ball Donuts from Woolworths was a quick answer.

Some of the family loved them. I, however, will play doughnut snob and say I can find a lot better jam ball doughnuts around Sydney.

I guess if you just want a doughnut with jam, these aren’t a bad option.

The jam is raspberry flavoured – meaning it’s apple puree with flavouring. It’s sweet without being completely sickly.

There is also a soft sugar dusting on the outside, which helps the dough.

You can see by the photos that it was a 4-pack, but two were devoured before I could snap a picture.

The pack points out that they were frozen and thawed for my convenience – how thoughtful of them.
