One of things that are certain in life is that you’ll always get a good doughnut at a reasonable price from Baked & Co, no matter where you find them.

On this occasion, I was at Westfield Liverpool and got myself a Chocolate Donut from their range. They had other iced doughnuts, while they also had some filled doughnuts with custard, Nutella or jam.

I liked their presentation – nothing special, but with the tiered cake stand, it gave their doughnuts a bit of a lift.

The dough in the doughnut was soft and fresh. Quite lovely.

The sprinkles gave it a bit of eye-catching colour, even if they did make it look like a kid’s doughnut.

The chocolate icing was soft and complemented the doughnut perfectly. It had a nice chocolate flavour and stuck to the dough, unlike hard icing which tends to fall off.

The service was very good at the Liverpool store too.
