Lemon Curd Bombolini Donut @ Lena Lu, Fremantle Markets
While my globe-trotting daughter was in Perth, she made her way to Fremantle where the markets were on.

She came across a stand called Lena Lu selling Italian bombolini doughnuts. Naturally, she had to have one – I would have been disappointed if she didn’t.
Her description was that they were “literally the size of my head.” So, either they were big, or her head has shrunk to the size of a doughnut.
She got a lemon curd doughnut.

“It’s goooooood”, she said, using seven Os.
“A bit too powdery, but otherwise good”. She was referring to the powdered sugar on top, and reverted to the more traditional double O in ‘good’.

I asked her if it was making a mess of her moosh, to which she replied ‘yes’.
There is at least one other stall that sells doughnuts at the Fremantle Markets – Levi’s Doughnuts, but I don’t know what they are like.

Checking the website, Lena Lu has stands at a few markets in the Perth area, and a store in Yagan Square.
