When I was in America several years ago, I tried Aunty Anne’s pretzels. I thought they were amazing. Warm, soft and chewy, they were delicious.
And now, here we are, years later and Aunty Anne’s has arrived in Australia.

I don’t usually review pretzels, but these are soft pretzels and closely related to doughnuts.
I chose the Almond Cream Cheese Stix. The sign in the window had the word ‘stixs’ with a superfluous ‘S’. I’m not sure why they need an S on the end of the word stix, but it’s their call.
The service was excellent. The guy who served me knew his stuff and seemed like he enjoyed being there.

The stix were warm and chewy, and just as the person who served me described them – a little bit sweet, a little bit savoury.
Their website describes them like this: Almond crunchiness on the outside, gooey creaminess on the inside.
They weren’t too gooey.

There are several other flavour options at Aunty Anne’s. I think I’ll have to try more.
