Sometimes you just stumble along and see a place selling donuts. That’s what happened when I was in Brisbane recently – I saw a bakery with a Japanese name that was selling donuts. I had to get one.

They had lots of things displayed and right at the front was their donut selection. Nothing too unusual. Just the standard favourites, such as Cinnamon, Chocolate, Custard, and Pistachio.
I got a Plain one, which was a Cinnamon Donut.

It was a good size and had some weight to it.
There was a good coating of cinnamon sugar all around it.
The dough was evenly cooked and was soft and nice to eat.

The service was good, which makes any donut that much more enjoyable.
As far as I can see, the Brisbane City outlet is the only Shibusawa around, so if you want to try their donuts, that’s where you have to go.
