Incredibly, I have access to the Virgin Lounge when I travel. It’s all above board. It’s nice to sit down, relax on a comfortable chair and get a coffee and something to eat before my flight. I highly recommend it.
The menu changes a little bit. On my recent visit to the Lounge in Sydney they had some mini-doughnuts.
There were chocolate-iced, plain, and vanilla with sprinkles. How could I resist.
I only got one plain one. For some reason, I expected it to be hard and stale, but I was pleasantly surprised. It was soft and fresh, and plenty of flavour.
It had a light glazing with some soft sugar sprinkled on top.
I’m not going to tell you it is the finest doughnut I have ever had, but it was certainly okay. There was a big stack of them and I should have got more, but I avoided the temptation.
They had probably been frozen, but hey, a free doughnut is a good doughnut.
