Brunswick Heads is a beautiful place near Byron Bay in northern NSW. I was driving around the area when I spotted a random Donut Caravan on the side of the road near the harbour. I had to stop and check it out.

Their sign said they had a few options, but when I was there only plain donuts were available. No problem – “I’ll take one thanks”.

It was a very large donut in the style of Greek Donuts – plain dough fried and rolled in sugar. Simple, but very enjoyable.

It was as ugly as hell, but that’s never a worry, especially when you’re getting a big, freshly made donut.

It was delicious. As I said, plain, but very enjoyable.

The dough was airy, chewy, and easy to tell it was freshly cooked.

It had plenty of sugar coating.

It certainly was a great discovery on my travels.
