The first thing to be aware of with Miss Sina at Marrickville is that it is a 100% vegan cafe. If you want a coffee, you better like your cappuccino with almond milk. The other thing to know is that it is very busy. That’s because the food there is excellent (I don’t know what the coffee is like – I can’t handle almond milk).

I’ve been there before, and on this occasion I got a Passion Fruit Custard Doughnut. They had other options, equally as wonderful, but I had to choose one.
In brief, it was a great doughnut.
It had a huge amount of custard inside, and I mean a HUGE amount – more than you’d get in any other filled doughnut. It made it quite a heavy doughnut. And I couldn’t tell that the custard was vegan. It had a hint of passion fruit, but the main passion fruit flavouring was on top.
It also had a coating of sugar on the outside.

The dough was bread-like and lovely. Again, I couldn’t tell that it was vegan – it tasted like normal delicious doughnut dough.
I guarantee you won’t be disappointed if you go to Miss Sina at Marrickville.
