I don’t get to the Campbelltown/Macarthur area of Sydney very often these days, but when I do, I search for a good place to get a doughnut.
Mama’s Kiwi Donuts is in Minto and they only open four days a week – Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. So the window of opportunity for me to get a doughnut there is slim. However, recently I had the chance and grabbed it.

I got a Pavlova Donut. It looked amazing in the display case, as all their doughnuts do.
I was impressed that it came in a small box because if it was shoved in a bag, the topping would have been ruined.
It had a topping of meringue, fresh fruit and passionfruit syrup sitting on top of a generous layer of fresh cream.
The cream is firm and tasty. They emphasise that it is fresh.

The dough is lovely and soft. it had no filling but there was ample pavlova topping so filling wasn’t necessary.
I have to admit, it was messy to eat and I ended up going from top to bottom.
It was a delicious doughnut.
Minto is a quiet suburb and if you get the chance, get yourself a doughnut from Mama’s Kiwi Donuts. And by the way, they are reasonably priced.
