I was amazed to see a new doughnut joint in Miranda during my last visit. Brooklyn Donuts are Queensland based and have 2 locations in Sydney – Castle Towers and Miranda – just about opposite ends of Sydney.
Anyway, I went to the Miranda store.
They had a large array of options to choose from – all very sweet.
The size of each donut was quite large.
I got a Apple Crumble Donut.
The top had a thick coating of sweet cream cheese icing with some sweet crumble on top.
The dough was amazingly soft. Perhaps the softest dough I have ever had in a doughnut – that’s how soft it was.
The filling of spiced apple chunks was not overly generous but just enough to avoid me being disappointed.
Overall, I can recommend the donut if for no other reason than the soft texture of the dough.
By the way, the service was excellent.
