The Sydney Easter Show has lots of doughnut options – the more you search the more you uncover. That has certainly been what I’ve found over the several years that I’ve been reviewing the doughnuts at the Easter Show. Just when I think I’ve covered them all, I discover another one.

So if you’re going to the Show in 2024 and want to know where to get the best doughnuts, check back here. I’ll post and update as I spot them. Most are vendors who return annually, but every year there tends to be at least one new stand selling doughnuts. I’ve just got to hunt them down.

I notice from the official guide that they have made The Stables an area called Sweet Sensations. The food at The Stables has always been a bit ordinary, but this year they have upped the standard.

The 2024 Easter Show runs until 2 April.

Enjoy your time at the Show.

Berliner Bakery – They have been there over the last few years and will be there again in 2024. Their doughnuts are fantastic. They will be in the Lifestyle Pavilion (I think it’s called) which is next to the Dome.

Whacky Apples – Mentioned in the guide above is a new place called Whacky Apples, which will be near the Wacky Worm Roller Coaster. They will have mini donuts. I’m going to guess it’s one of those sideshow food trucks run by teenagers.

Hot Cinnamon Donut Puffs – A permanent fixture. They will be there in the Woolworths Dome as usual. It’s a big stand and hard to miss.

Hot Donuts and Coffee Caravan – They are there every year in the same spot. I expect them to be there again this year.

I Love Churros – Look for them in the Neon Alley.

The Gelato Factory – Oddly, they have doughnuts, which are sold with gelato. The images on the wall look nothing like the actual doughnuts they have in the cabinet.

The Candy Castle – There every year and run by inexperienced teenagers. You’ll find it in the small kids’ rides area.

Carousel Cafe – Another regular with cinnamon doughnuts. You’ll find them in the big kids’ rides area.

OMG Decadent Donuts – New to the Show this year. They are in The Stables, which is being called ‘Sweet Sensations’. The overall quality of choice in The Stables has improved this year, but it will need to attract people back to the space after some poor choices in previous years.

Cattle Lawn Cafe and Bar – Once again they have commercially made doughnuts. It’s a space full of country people earnestly watching the cattle being judged.

Dicky’s Donuts – Made their first appearance at the Show in 2023. My gripe is that they advertise their doughnuts as ‘filled’, when in reality they merely have the jam (or other flavours) lying on top of the doughnut. See the photo below.

San Valentino – Another regular at the Show. They have Italian doughnuts in the cannoli shape.

Waffle Popz – Another regular. I don’t think I’ve ever tried them.

Whacky Apples – New this year is Whacky Apples. They sell mainly apple things, such as apples with a sweet coating, and apple juice, but they also sell mini doughnuts. The service was excellent and makes a pleasant change from some of the lousy service you get from food vendors at the Easter Show.

Bean Drinkin – Taking the unofficial prize for corniest name at the Easter Show is this place. They sell commercially made doughnuts and some rather thin looking cinnamon doughnuts.

Adore – Another regular at the Show. They sell some cannoli style doughnuts.

Mini Donut Factory – This is located in the area known as Kids Street, which is in the main arena. I got some of the mini donuts. They were okay.

If you spot other doughnuts at the Easter Show, please let me know where they are.
