When you walk into Boston Doughnuts new store in Bass Hill Plaza, it’s hard not to be gobsmacked by the Pavlova Doughnuts siting in the display case. There are loads of them and they all look amazing. They’re big and have plenty of topping. They are obviously a specialty of the store. So I had to try one.

Boston Doughnuts do great doughnuts. The dough is soft and fluffy.

The topping was excellent. Not too sweet and plenty of it. There was loads of cream (I’m not a big cream lover, by the way). It had a good variety of fruit on top and a nice passionfruit sauce, although I’m sure it wasn’t homemade sauce.

My wife tried the Pavlova Doughnut and also enjoyed it. She is more into sweets with cream than I am, so this was one she couldn’t resist.

Boston Doughnuts has grown to be a major player among Sydney’s doughnut stores. It’s location in Bass Hill means it’s got a big market without competition nearby. I expect them to go from strength to strength.
