I tihnk it’s funny that a doughnut has adopted the Homer Simpson name. Everyone automatically knows that the Homer Simpson Doughnut is a ring with pink icing and coloured sprinkles. That’s an amazing impact of pop culture.
I got a Homer Simpson Doughnut from LA Donuts in Beverly Hills in Sydney. Beverly Hills is a suburb not far from Hurstville. The store is in the same spot it’s always been in, but I’m sure they used to say they were in Roselands (the suburb, not the shopping centre) rather than Beverly Hills. Either way, they are right near the border of Beverly Hills and Roselands.
In a few short years, LA Donuts has built an amazing reputation for their quality and value.
And let me tell you, their doughnuts are great. Beautifully soft and spongy, cooked perfectly and loads of flavour. The icing is nicely soft but doesn’t run.
So my Homer Simpson Doughnut was excellent.
LA Donuts is one of the best makers of doughnuts in Sydney. They deliver around the suburbs of Sydney too, so make sure you try some.
