Shoalhaven Heads is a beautiful area of New South Wales, located at the very southern end of Seven Mile Beach. There aren’t many shops there, helping it maintain its quaint, unspoilt image while nearby towns go beserk with new developments (Shell Harbour, I’m looking at you).
One of the few shops in Shoalhaven Heads is the bakery, where you can get your typical and much-loved township bakery items, such as bread, delicious meat pies, and an assortment of home-baked sweets… including doughnuts.

For the record, I want to mention that I got an apple and cinnamon scroll that was not only huge, it was also delicious.
They had cinnamon and jam doughnuts. I got a jam doughnut.

It was one of those doughnuts where the dough is super-light and airy. I have to admit that they are not my favourite type of doughnuts, but that’s just my personal taste. It was still a very good doughnut.

The jam was the commercially made jam, which is made from apple puree and flavoured to be like strawberry or raspberry.
The doughnut was nice. But I think the scroll and meat pie are their better products.
