National Donut Day 2023 Australia

Call it serendipity. Call it coincidence. Call it an alignment of the stars. Whatever it is, National Donut Day coincides with my birthday.

It occurs on the first Friday of June, and this year it’s the 2nd.

Doughnut stores around the country this week will start advertising offers and promotions for that one glorious day of the year.

Meanwhile, some doughnut stores won’t offer anything, but will just use it as a chance to get you in to buy a doughnut or two. Is that a bad thing? Not really. Everyone needs to make a living.

Very few stores, if any, will acknowledge the original intention of National Donut Day, which in America was to support the Salvation Army.

So I’ll keep an eye open and place here any offers and promotions that the Sydney doughnut stores advertise, which will usually be via social media.

Meanwhile, have a wonderful National Donut Day and happy birthday to me.

Krispy Kreme:
Free Original Glazed Doughnut – be early. 100,000 sounds a lot but they’ll be snapped up quickly.

Diego’s Donuts:
Free hot mini donuts from 10am.

OMG Donuts:
They are donating money to a great cause – Orange Sky Australia, who help the homeless by doing their laundry. This is fantastic – well done OMG.

Moist n Glazed:
They aren’t in Sydney, but Kiama, and do very good doughnuts. $1 hot cinnamon doughnuts.

We Donut Care:
Will be at Panania Diggers Markets from 4pm until 9pm. They are also advertising that you get 15% off all online orders from 1 – 4 June.
